Get Help Paying Your Bill
We understand that our customers sometimes need help paying their bill. Here are some resources available to help customers in need with their bills.
The need for electricity in your home during a pandemic is critical, especially with furloughs, reduced household budgets, online schooling, keeping cool during the heat of the summer, and so many people still working from home. The New Mexico Human Services Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the PNM Good Neighbor Fund program are working together to help low-income families with as much as $550 to pay their electric bill.
LIHEAP assists eligible New Mexico residents and families with their heating and cooling costs. LIHEAP is federally funded through the Department of Health and Human Services. The federal government establishes funding levels annually.
PNM customers who are facing a financial emergency can receive a grant to help pay part or all of a past-due PNM bill.
If you qualify for income-based help, you also may qualify for the New Mexico heating season moratorium.
Income-qualified customers may also be eligible to receive free installation of energy saving products.
