Strategic Impact grants that address current issues

The following fourteen nonprofits collectively received $182,000 in grants. The Strategic Impact grants serve thousands of New Mexicans by addressing time-sensitive, diverse, and long-term needs resulting from the pandemic. Many of the organizations are led by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).  The grants help solve current needs at economic development centers, provide access to telehealth services for the developmentally disabled, support for Asian-owned businesses, and fund COVID-19 response needs. Many grants will also ensure sustainability of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. The PNM Resources Foundation is committed to supporting nonprofit organizations that are a key part of a community and, especially, those that were created by and for that same community.

Reduce Your Use - Reducing Carbon Emissions

Nonprofits that work towards reducing carbon emissions through planned energy efficiency projects have an impact in our communities and share our vision in moving New mexico forward together. The following forty-two nonprofit partners collectively received more than $200,000 in grants to help them spend less on electric bills and invest more in providing essential services to the community:

Increasing Access to Affordable Housing grants 

The following eight nonprofits collectively received $110,000 in grants and share our vision in moving New Mexico forward together. These grants serve thousands of New Mexicans by addressing the critical needs for affordable housing in New Mexico.  Affordable housing is a necessity and it improves the quality of life of New Mexicans by leading to better health, adequate jobs, financial stability, security, and population diversity. The effects of affordable housing on residents are profound and capable of transforming communities. The PNM Resources Foundation believes investing in the state's communities helps New Mexico's future shine brighter. The nonprofit partner grant recipients are:

Increasing community safety grants

The following twenty local nonprofits collectively received $215,000 in grants for their work in supporting mental health or safety education for youth. Each nonprofit grant recipient has programs making an impact throughout the state to help combat troubling statistics such as New Mexico being sixth in the nation for teen suicide. They each share the PNM Resources Foundation vision of moving New Mexico forward together. The nonprofit partner grant recipients are:

Reducing Homelessness Grants

The following twenty nonprofits collectively received $230,000 in grants for their work in improving the quality of life for thousands of homeless in New Mexico. Each nonprofit grant recipient has programs making an impact throughout the state that reduces homelessness and shares the PNM Resources Foundation vision of moving New Mexico forward together. No one has the resources to end homelessness alone, but the PNM Resources Foundation can play a powerful role in supporting nonprofits that work tirelessly to serve those experiencing homelessness in New Mexico each and every day. The nonprofit partner grant recipients are:
