PNM Employees Participate in Annual Day of Service

More than 500 employees assist with 30 different projects around NM

Albuquerque: More than 540 PNM employees gave back to their communities on Thursday, April 20, by participating in the company's annual Day of Service. This event, now in its seventh year, is a way for PNM employees to serve area nonprofit organizations with on-the-ground project work. This year, employees worked on 30 different projects in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Farmington, Silver City, Ruidoso, Deming, Lordsburg, Los Lunas and Belen.

"For the last century, we have been committed to improving the places where we live and work. Our Day of Service is just one way we show that PNM employees care," said Laurie Roach, manager, PNM Outreach and Engagement. "Our employees know it's so important to give back, and the dedication they show is heart-warming."

PNM and PNM employees place a high value on community service and each year dedicate close to 8,000 hours to company sponsored projects that focus on cleaning up the environment, enhancing and beautifying parks and playgrounds, supporting low income programs and mentoring students.
