Why is there a fee for credit or debit?
Answer: This is not a PNM fee. It is the fee charged to us in order to allow for electronic payments. Our current, state-approved rates do not allow us to include credit card or debit card processing fees in rates. The fee is only charged to those customers who use the service instead of all customers paying it in their rates.
Will using a credit card result in automatic payments?
Answer: No. This is a one-time payment. You will have to return to the site next month if you want to pay online with a credit or debit card again.
What are the different ways I can pay my bill for free?
Answer: You can pay for free online using your checking, savings or money market account. You can also sign up for Automatic Payment, which will automatically deduct your payment from your bank account every month. It is also free to drop your payment off at any Wells Fargo location.
What do I need with me to pay my bill in person?
Answer: In order to pay your bill in person, you'll need to pay with check, cash or a third-party check. You will also need to bring your PNM bill with you.
Is there a limit to the amount I can pay?
Answer: There is a limit of $1,000 per transaction when you pay online or by phone with a credit, debit or ATM card.
