Report, Alerts, and Tips
Providing reliable service is the foundation of everything we do at PNM. Our electricity reliability is among the best in the nation, and we're proud of it. However, outages do happen once in a while. We know they're frustrating when they do. The Outage Center is your resource to report a new outage, view current outages and more.
Tell us about a new outage, so we can send out our team to restore it. You can also report an outage by texting #OUT to 78766. (Message and data rates apply. Text #HELP for options or #STOP to cancel.)
Outage Alerts are a convenient way for you to receive the ongoing status updates when you are experiencing a power outage, plus it is free and simple to sign up. Find all the ways you can sign up.
For detailed guidance on staying safe before, during, and after a power outage, visit our Outage Safety Tips page. These tips can help keep you and your family safe while our crews work to restore power.

If you see a downed power line, do not touch it or anything in contact with it. Call PNM immediately at 888-DIAL-PNM. If you are in a vehicle with a fallen power line on it, stay inside until help arrives.
If you're renting a home or apartment and are not a PNM account holder, you can still keep updated on power outages and Public Safety Power Shutoffs on the PNM Wildfire Safety page.
What to do if you lose power
When a power outage occurs, it can be unclear where to start or what actions are most helpful. The steps below outline a simple, practical approach to help you quickly assess the situation, communicate with PNM, and stay informed until your service is restored.
Step 1
Check with your neighbors to see if they also have lost power. You will know it is not your home if others around are also experiencing an outage. You can check the outage map too.
Step 2
If your neighbors have power, check your breaker box to ensure that the problem is not inside your home. It is easy to identify and reset any tripped circuits.
Step 3
Now that you know the outage is not your breakers, please report your outage 24/7 online, text #OUT to 78766, or call (888) DIAL-PNM (1-888-342-5766).
Step 4
Sign up to receive email or text alerts when your power is out and when it is back on. You will also receive a notification when the estimated restoration time is updated.
