Ways to help you with your bill

We understand that managing your energy bill can be difficult. That's why PNM provides support programs and services for those in need, including energy assistance, customer assistance for those with special needs, and ways for neighbors to help each other.

    Good Neighbor Fund

    Good Neighbor Fund

The PNM Good Neighbor Fund is an emergency fund that helps low-income customers in our service area with energy assistance when they are at risk of being disconnected once per calendar year.

    Budget Billing

    Budget Billing

Budget Billing is a program that evens out your energy bills by considering seasonal fluctuations. When you enroll, you'll pay a consistent monthly amount, simplifying budgeting and financial planning.

    Time-of-Day

    Time-of-Day

The Time-of-Day program provides a pricing plan based on the time of day, season, and day type. During peak hours, electricity rates are higher, while off-peak hours have lower rates. By shifting your energy use to off-peak times, you can reduce your bills

    LIHEAP

    LIHEAP

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) offers New Mexico residents an annual payment to assist with electric and heating bills. The current program is open for applications, and it's essential to apply to receive financial assistance from PNM.

    Energy efficiency programs

    EE Programs

Our energy efficiency programs provide rebates, discounts, and tips to save energy and money. By making small changes in your electricity usage habits, you can significantly reduce your electric bill. We also offer rebates and incentives for business owners interested in energy-saving practices.

    Heating Season Shut-Off Protection

    Heating Season Shut-Off Protection

If you are approved for assistance from LIHEAP, you may also qualify for the New Mexico heating season moratorium. During this time, eligible customers' electricity cannot be turned off from November 15, 2025 - through March 15, 2026.
