Making Electric Transportation More Accessible
PNM's Transportation Electrification Program offers enhanced rebates for income-qualified (IQ) customers to help make electric transportation more affordable. These rebates can help lower the cost of buying an electric vehicle, installing EV charging equipment, or participating in other eligible electrification programs. By reducing upfront costs, income-qualified rebates help more New Mexico families save money on transportation while enjoying the benefits of driving electric.
2026 Federal Poverty Guidelines
To be income-qualified, your household income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines based on the number of people in your home. The income limits are updated each year. If your household income falls within these limits, you may qualify for enhanced rebates through PNM's Transportation Electrification Program.

Charge at Home and
Get Up to $3,500 Back
Qualifying PNM customers can receive up to $750 off a new Level 2 charger and up to $3,500 toward installation costs, making it easier and more affordable to charge at home.
Rebates are available through Easy Install with a Program Authorized Contractor, or through the Online Application if the equipment has already been installed. Qualifications and restrictions apply.

PNM offers the Whole Home EV rate for residential customers, making charging your vehicle even more affordable.
The Whole Home Electric Vehicle (WHEV) rate provides a low energy cost between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., so you can power your EV while you sleep.
Residential customers with an EV registered at their home are eligible to enroll.
