Pay in Person

Need assistance paying your electric bill? PNM wants to help. Residential customers, with a past-due balance, can easily apply online for several payment assistance programs at one time by going to Just answer a few questions and we'll do the rest. If you prefer to apply over the phone, call us at 855-364-2950, weekdays, between 7:30 AM and 6 PM. Apply for help today. PNM has resumed disconnection of electricity  for residential customers who are past-due on their PNM bill.

Please be vigilant against scammers claiming to be with PNM and insisting on you paying with a prepaid gift card. PNM will never ask you to pay with a pre-paid gift card.

Western Union

  • Pay by cash or check.
    • Maximum payment amount by cash or check - $2,500.
  • Payments post the next business day.
    • Use another payment method if you need it credited the same day.
    • Save your receipt until you know the payment was credited to your account.
  • Many are open longer hours and on weekends.
  • Low fee of $1 for PNM customers.
    • This is a Western Union fee. PNM does not receive a portion of it.
