Ways to Stay Cool

Ways to Stay Cool

Temperatures are rising, but there are several ways to stay cool this Summer.

Set your thermostat higher than normal and as comfortable as possible. The higher the setting the more energy you save. Use your ceiling fans to offset cooling costs.

Make sure fan blades are turning counterclockwise so air is being pushed downward.

Sealing airducts can help lower bills by lowering energy consumption. Duct air loss can take up nearly 30 percent of cooling system's energy.

Pathways to Education

Pathways to Education

Through the PNM Resources Foundation, we have awarded $425,000 to 38 New Mexico nonprofits over the summer! These community organizations reinforce the critical need of nontraditional pathways to education for learners who may be developmentally disabled, veterans, seniors, formerly incarcerated, and in need of health education. Congratulations to our awardees! You can view the complete list of the grant recipients on our website.
