Report a Streetlight Out

We do not know if a streetlight is out unless customers report them. If you see a problem with a streetlight in your area, please report it by calling 888-DIAL-PNM (1-888-342-5766), chat live with a customer service representative here on the PNM website, or use the online form below. Please try to be as detailed as possible about the location of the light you wish to report.

PNM owns approximately 43,000 streetlights and maintains approximately 50,000 streetlights throughout the state of New Mexico. Some of the streetlights in our service area are owned by PNM, and others are owned by other entities like the city or county they reside in, and PNM does not perform maintenance on every streetlight.

Streetlight outages can occur for a number of different reasons, including copper theft, vandalism, and vehicles hitting light poles. When a streetlight is reported out, PNM crews work hard to locate, troubleshoot, and repair as soon as possible. Each case requires different actions on our part, and may require different actions, materials or permissions in order for PNM to access and repair the light. Depending on the streetlight, some may take longer than others for repair.
