A BPI-certified Energy Specialist performs a thorough review of your lighting, heating and cooling, insulation, and appliances. It's easy and convenient a no-hassle experience that delivers exceptional, immediate results for your comfort and savings for years to come.

Flexible Scheduling Options
You make the call on how you want your HEC in person, or virtual:
Option 1: In-Person Home Assessment
A BPI-Certified Energy Specialist will visit your home and conduct a full review. Your on-site HEC includes:
- Free energy-saving products ($157 value) and installation while we are there.
- Your personalized report and prioritized recommendations presented to you right away.
Option 2: Video Call Assessment
A BPI-Certified Energy Specialist guides you via video call to review your home. After the call, we will:
- Email your personalized report and prioritized recommendations to you.
- Send your free energy-saving products, based on the needs of your home.
- Follow-up with another video call to see if you need help with installation.

Added Support for Income Qualified Customers
If you're income qualified, you may be able to get even more from your HEC. The PNM HEC program may be able to provide a new ENERGY STAR® fridge and Sensi smart thermostat at no cost.

On-the-Spot Upgrades
Sealing the Drafts
Small gaps can lead to big energy loss. During the HEC, we'll perform free basic weatherization such as installing weather stripping, outlet gaskets, and door sweeps to keep the heat or cool where it belongs.
Lighting the Way
We'll review your current lighting setup and replace up to 40 older bulbs with free LEDs.
A Smarter Thermostat for Less
Your checkup makes you eligible for an HEC-exclusive $50 rebate when you upgrade. (Income qualified customers can receive a FREE Sensi smart thermostat and installation a $150 value.)

HEC Eligibility
To qualify for a Home Energy Checkup, your property can't have had an HEC assessment in the past ten years.
If you've recently purchased your home, you may still be eligible for rebates from a previous HEC. Verify your eligibility by giving us a call.
