PNM offers $250,000 to nonprofit organizations for energy saving projects
PNM Reduce Your Use Grants will be awarded to more than 50 organizations
across New Mexico
Albuquerque: Nonprofit organizations that want to complete energy saving projects are encouraged to apply for the PNM Reduce Your Use Grants before Monday, Aug. 8. Qualified organizations may receive up to $5,000 to put their energy saving ideas into action.
"PNM Reduce Your Use Grants, paired with PNM rebate programs, can make a significant difference for any nonprofit organization," said Diane Harrison Ogawa, executive director of the PNM Resources Foundation. "This is just one of the many easy and effective programs designed to help our customers save money and energy."
Previous recipients have used the grants to replace inefficient windows, upgrade lighting or replace older appliances. Most nonprofit organizations struggle with the same challenge ¿ finding enough money to finance their missions. Reduce Your Use Grants help nonprofit organizations put more money into their missions by taking care of their energy concerns and reducing the amount they need to spend on electricity. All nonprofit organizations who pay a PNM bill are encouraged to apply.
