Save Energy. Save Money.
A PNM Home Energy Checkup will help you save energy in your home and money on your bill. An energy specialist will perform an in-home visit or meet with you through a video call appointment to analyze how your home uses energy. They will provide you with energy saving devices and will share rebates you may qualify for to save even more
Recycling your old, working refrigerator or freezer could help you cut your energy use by up to 20 percent. Plus, if you recycle it, we will pick it up for free and send you a check for $50. It's that simple. You save energy and money.
Reduce the cost of purchasing and installing certain energy-efficient cooling equipment in your home. Many models of evaporative cooling and refrigerated air conditioning units and even room air conditioners qualify.
Get a rebate when you purchase and install an ENERGY STAR® qualified variable speed pool pump. If you have a pool An ENERGY STAR pool pump can run at different speeds and be programmed to match the pool operation with the appropriate pool pump speed. The energy saved is considerable; reducing pump speed by one-half allows the pump to use just one-eighth as much energy.
All residential PNM customers are eligible to receive an instant discount at the register on select ENERGY STAR® qualified, energy efficient light bulbs for your home or office. These can be found at several participating retailers. Just look for the PNM logo on the product and on the store shelf.
PNM Power Saver helps relieve times of peak electricity demand in your area. You still control your thermostat the way you normally would, but on some hot summer weekday afternoons, when the electricity demand is high, your air conditioner or heat pump will automatically be put into a conservation mode. By participating in the program, new customers will receive a one-time $25 check for signing up and we will give you a $25 annual Thank You check for each year you participate.
Energy efficiency program appointments and rebates are on a first come, first served, basis and are for a limited time only. Once program reaches its maximum capacity this year, the program will resume the next calendar year.
