Our Mission
The employee-led PNM | TNMP Foundation (formerly the PNM Resources Foundation) partners with mission-aligned nonprofits across New Mexico and Texas through trust-based philanthropy. We provide targeted and flexible grants that strengthen organizations holistically, rather than funding isolated programs. Our support enables these vital community partners to build resilient communities where people overcome challenges, advance through education, and truly thrive.
We multiply our impact through matching and volunteer grants that amplify PNM and TNMP employee and retiree community engagement. Additionally, we stand by our own team members with crisis assistance during personal emergencies, reflecting our commitment to fostering resilience both within our company and throughout the communities we serve.
Our Story
The PNM | TNMP Foundation, formerly known as the PNM Resources Foundation, was established in 1983 by PNM shareholders as a separate, nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation. Initially governed by a board of trustees comprised of PNM employees, this employee-led tradition continues today as under the new name, as it relfects our continued commitment to serving both PNM and TNMP communities across. Our endowment is funded entirely through shareholder contributions, not customer funds, reflecting our commitment to responsible corporate citizenship.
