Working Together to Strengthen Our Communities
Each year, PNM employees come together for Day of Service, volunteering their time and talents to support nonprofit organizations across New Mexico. From improving community spaces to helping deliver essential programs and services, our employees are proud to work alongside local partners to make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.
Giving Back to the Communities We Serve
At PNM, our commitment to New Mexico goes beyond providing electricity. We believe in being a good neighbor and supporting the communities where our customers live, work, and raise their families.
That's why each year, PNM employees take part in our annual Day of Service, volunteering with nonprofit organizations across the state and helping make a positive difference in local communities.
Supporting New Mexico Through Service
This year, PNM employees volunteered with 24 nonprofit organizations across New Mexico, helping with projects that strengthen community spaces and support important local programs.
Despite rainy weather in many parts of the state, employees worked alongside community partners to prepare classrooms, improve facilities, organize community resources, support food programs, assist animal shelters, and complete projects that help nonprofits continue serving New Mexicans.
A Year-Round Commitment
The Day of Service is just one example of how PNM employees give back throughout the year. In 2025, employees contributed more than 2,000 volunteer hours to organizations focused on:
- Education and youth development
- Environmental stewardship
- Family and social services
- Hunger relief
- Community health and wellness
- Building stronger, more resilient communities

Making a Difference Together
Many of the nonprofit organizations we support see the direct impact of employee volunteer efforts.
At YES Housing, volunteers helped prepare community garden spaces that will support future growing seasons and contribute to healthier communities.
At Meals on Wheels New Mexico, employee volunteers helped prepare food that will be distributed to thousands of clients across the state who rely on the organization's services.
At Animal Humane New Mexico, volunteers spent time supporting shelter operations, creating enrichment items for animals, and helping care for pets awaiting adoption.
Powering Communities Beyond the Grid
PNM is proud to partner with organizations that improve quality of life across New Mexico. Through volunteerism, community partnerships, charitable giving, and employee engagement, we're helping build a brighter future for the people and communities we serve.
