"PNM is committed to working with our customers to find ways they can save energy," said Diane Harrison Ogawa, executive director of the PNM Resources Foundation. "Reduce Your Use Grants specifically help nonprofit organizations make their energy-saving ideas a reality."

The PNM Reduce Your Use Grant Program awards $250,000 annually to help nonprofit organizations statewide complete projects that reduce their energy use and lower their utility bills, allowing them to spend more on providing essential services to clients.

Funded projects include installing energy-efficient windows, purchasing new ENERGY STAR appliances, switching to more energy-saving lights and much more. The completion of these projects will not only save energy and money, but will also mean a safer, healthier environment in many cases for clients and staff.

Since its inception in 2008, nonprofit organizations statewide have received more than $2.1 million through the PNM Reduce Your Use Grant Program.

The PNM Resources Foundation, which is funded by PNM shareholders, has invested more than $11.75 million into helping build strong, productive communities in New Mexico.
