PNM Good Neighbor Fund
Caring for Our Community Through Energy Assistance
At PNM, we are deeply committed to serving our community and ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need. The PNM Good Neighbor Fund (GNF) provides essential utility bill assistance to income-qualified customers, including seniors and other vulnerable groups, helping them stay connected to electricity during difficult times.
PNM Good Neighbor Fund (GNF)
The GNF is designed to assist low-income households, including seniors, by helping them manage their PNM electric bills through an annual grant that is applied directly to their PNM account. PNM proudly partners with the Rio Grande Food Project, a local 501(c)3 food pantry and community hub who is the program administrator for the PNM Good Neighbor Fund, and ensures the program is accessible to those most in need.
Eligibility Requirements
- Income Qualification: Proof of participation in LIHEAP or SNAP for the current year.
- Past-Due Balance or Disconnect Notice: Customers must have a past-due balance or disconnect notice on their current PNM bill. Seniors (60+): Seniors are eligible even without a past-due balance or disconnect notice, as long as they meet income qualifications. Seniors are automatically approved for the maximum grant amount.
- Identification: A valid ID matching the name on the PNM account, and the LIHEAP or SNAP documentation.
