With the WHEV rate, you get cheaper electricity rates when you're likely doing most of your charging, between 10pm and 5am. Signing up is easy and after that, scheduling your charger is set and forget.
How to Enroll in WHEV
To qualify, all you need is:
- Your PNM Residential account number
- Your vehicle's VIN
- Proof of registration for an EV at your PNM service address
- A few minutes to complete the online application

How the Whole-Home EV Rate Works
When you sign up for the WHEV rate, we'll install an cellular meter for you at no charge.
Simply set your EV to charge overnight and wake up to lower electricity bills.

PNM installs a cellular meter within 45 days
Step 3:
Schedule your EV charger to fuel your vehicle between 10pm to 5am
Please note: Customers cannot be on both Time-of-Day (TOD) Rate and the WHEV Rate.

PNM covers up to 100% or $2000 of the cost of purchasing and installing a Level 2 at-home charger.
