PNM is offering business electric customers rebates for replacing incandescent or other energy-inefficient lighting fixtures and lamps with energy-efficient fluorescent and high intensity discharge (HID) fixtures.
Types of lighting equipment eligible for a rebate
- Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs)
- LED exit signs
- T8 or T5 linear fluorescent lamps with electronic ballasts
- High performance T8 or "super" T8 systems with electronic ballasts
- Low-wattage T8 lamps
- Metal halide and high-pressure sodium fixtures
- Pulse-start metal halide fixtures
- Interior high bay linear fluorescent fixtures
- Occupancy sensors

How to get a rebate
- Purchase a qualifying product.
- Install replacement lighting fixtures.
- PNM recommends having a professional lighting contractor perform the work; however you can choose to self-install the lighting products.
- Submit the following documentation to the address listed on the rebate form.
- Completed rebate form signed by the business owner; the lighting contractor, if used, will help you complete the rebate form.
- Copy of your PNM electric bill
- Proof of purchase for each fixture, such as a receipts
- Itemized contractor invoice, if fixtures installed by a contractor
- Receive a rebate check.
- Mailed to you in 6 to 8 weeks.

Important information about this rebate
- This program rebates replaced lighting equipment only.
- New fixtures purchased for purposes other than the replacement of old fixtures are not eligible for a rebate.
- An unlimited amount of fixtures can be replaced.
- Rebate amounts range from $1.75 for CFLs, to $75 for large fixtures.
