PNM is offering residential electric customers rebates for installing energy-efficient advanced evaporative cooling equipment – up to $400 per qualifying unit installed. Homebuilders can also qualify for this rebate.

Advanced evaporative cooling systems:

• Use significantly less energy than refrigerated air conditioning.
  • Your electric bill is lower.
• Keep your home just as cool and comfortable.

Equipment eligible for a rebate

• Indirect cooling module added to an existing single inlet evaporative cooler.
  • Example: MasterCool IM650 or IM660
• Indirect cooling module that is purchased in combination with a single inlet evaporative cooler using 12 inch media.
  • Example: MasterCool IM650 plus a MasterCool HC series evaporative cooler
• Combination unit that contains both the indirect and direct stages in one cooler.
  • Example: OASys residential unit
• A 100 percent indirect evaporative cooler.
  • Example: Coolerado R600 Residential
• Units can generally only be purchased through HVAC contractors or authorized equipment suppliers and wholesalers.

How to get a rebate

1. Purchase a qualifying product.
2. Install advanced evaporative cooling equipment.
   • PNM recommends having advanced evaporative equipment installed by a qualified contractor; however you can choose to self-install the unit.
3. Complete and sign an Advanced Evaporative Cooling Rebate form.
4. Submit the following documentation to the address listed on the rebate form.
   • Completed rebate form
   • Copy of your PNM bill
   • Proof of purchase, such as a receipt
   • Itemized contractor receipt, if unit installed by a contractor
5. Receive a rebate check for up to $400 per unit installed.
   • Mailed to you in 6 to 8 weeks.
