Back-to-School Homework for Teachers: PNM Energy Exploration Grant Applications Due Sept. 15
Albuquerque: Teachers interested in exploring energy related topics with their students may qualify for money from the PNM Fund to help fund those projects – but the deadline to apply is fast approaching.
This fall, the PNM Fund, a division of the PNM Resources Foundation, will award PNM Energy Exploration Grants to 100 teachers within PNM’s service territory. The $1,000 grants will be awarded to teachers for original projects that stimulate and inspire young minds to learn more about energy and energy efficiency. The deadline to apply online is 5 p.m. on Sept. 15.
“Energy and energy efficiency are critical topics for students to explore, and this is one important way for us to encourage that learning and be of help to teachers in the process,” said Diane Harrison Ogawa, executive director of the PNM Fund.
