New PNM Sustainability Report Available Online
Albuquerque: PNM Resources, the parent company of PNM, has issued a sustainability report for 2007-08 that details the company’s efforts to reduce its impact on the environment, increase energy efficiency and engage the communities it serves.
The new report is available online at www.PNM.com/environment.
The report includes:
- A detailed accounting of the company’s performance on five-year environmental goals for the period 2004-2008,
- Details on the company’s new environmental goals for the period 2009-11,
- Highlights of the company’s energy efficiency activities, including offering rebates on 1 million compact fluorescent light bulbs and successfully recycling more than 8,500 energy-wasting refrigerators, and
- Information on the company’s community engagement efforts, including Reduce Your Use grants for nonprofits and efforts to assist low-income customers.
“The report is one way to hold ourselves accountable for our business decisions and to ensure we properly balance environmental, economic and social factors as we make those decisions,” said Pat Vincent-Collawn, PNM Resources president and chief operating officer.
