PNM To Trim Trees Along Power Lines in Ruidoso
Ruidoso: Ruidoso residents will see PNM personnel and contractors inspecting power lines in the area, looking for tree limbs that may be too close for safety and trimming them back.
Tree limbs and branches that are too close to power lines pose a fire danger, especially with the region’s current dry conditions, and increase the likelihood of outages when the wind kicks up.
PNM advises homeowners not to attempt to trim trees in or around power lines themselves because they risk serious injury or death. Area residents concerned about trees near power lines should call PNM at 1-888-DIAL PNM (888-342-5766).
