TNMP is Now PNM for Area Electric Customers

Starting Monday, Feb. 26, the Silver City, Bayard, Lordsburg, Ruidoso and Alamogordo offices of PNM and the former Texas-New Mexico Power Company (TNMP) will be combined. Rates will be the same when customers receive their first PNM electric bills in March.

“We want our customers to know that our PNM staff are here to provide outstanding customer service and that working together as one company is enhancing our ability to do that,” said Teri Gatton, director of Western New Mexico gas and electric operations for PNM.

PNM gas and electric customers will be served from these convenient office locations:

  • Silver City: 1100 N. Hudson Avenue. (The TNMP office in Silver City is moving to the PNM office.)
  • Bayard: 800 Central Avenue. (Customers who used to pay their electric bill at Mi Ranchito Foods should now use the combined PNM electric and gas office at 800 Central Avenue.)
  • Lordsburg: 210 E. Fifth Street
  • Ruidoso: 1100 Mechem Drive
  • Alamogordo: 1108 Cuba Avenue (The Alamogordo TNMP office has moved to the PNM office.)
  • All offices are open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m.

Expanded phone center hours are among the enhanced services now available. Both gas and electric customers will be able to talk with PNM customer service representatives about services and bill payment from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturdays, by calling 950-1997 or toll free at (800) 687-7854. (In Ruidoso call (800) 687-7854.) For customers with gas or electric outages or emergencies, help is available around the clock at those numbers.

Customers who receive both their gas and electric service from PNM will enjoy the convenience of one combined bill. PNM gas and electric customers can also look forward to a new online billing program that will launch in the spring.
