PNM Customer Care Call Center Starts New Hours June 1

Albuquerque: PNM will change the hours for its Customer Care Call Center beginning Tuesday, June 1.

PNM customers with billing and service needs can call the center during new hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Customers with gas or electric emergencies can talk with a PNM representative 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Customers can contact PNM by calling 246-5700 in the Albuquerque metro area or (800) 687-7854 statewide. Billing and service information is also available at PNM.com.

“Now, more PNM customer service staff will be available to talk with customers during our peak calling hours for better customer service,” said Terry Horn, director of PNM customer and market services.

Horn said staff will be moved away from the times when people do not call the center to the times when most people call PNM, in the morning and late afternoon. Although the center had been open until 9 p.m., few customers called after 6 p.m. on weeknights or after 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The PNM Customer Care Center, located in Albuquerque, serves more than 600,000 natural gas and electric customers statewide. Its 120 employees are trained to assist customers who need to stop or start service, have a question about their bill, want information about PNM Sky BlueTM and energy rebates, or who have a power outage or gas emergency.
