Albuquerque: PNM this spring will host a series of free workshops designed to help New Mexico's small businesses succeed. The first workshop, "Targeted Direct Mail," will take place Tuesday, March 29. Small-business owners and operators throughout the state are invited to attend in person or via a live webcast on PNM.com. Mike Naples, direct marketing specialist with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS), will lead the seminar and discuss why direct mail works and what kind of direct-mail campaigns are most effective. Naples will also discuss market segmentation and the importance of tailoring messages to a targeted audience. He will also introduce attendees to the USPS ROI Calculator, a free tool that can determine the effectiveness of a potential direct-mail campaign in five minutes or less.
The workshop will be webcast live over the Internet at PNM.com. To access the workshop online, visitors should to go PNM.com at least 10 minutes before the event begins and click "Small Business Workshop – March 29." A high-speed or broadband Internet connection is recommended.
