New PNM Rates
PNM received permission from state regulators to establish new rates for customers in these areas, starting in July 2009:
- Bernalillo County
- Sandoval County
- Santa Fe County
- Valencia County
- Clayton
- Deming
- Las Vegas
Rates remain unchanged for customers in other areas served by PNM.
How much
The average PNM residential customer:
- uses about 600 kilowatt-hours of electricity per month.
- will pay $5 more per month.
Your amount could be higher or lower depending on how much electricity you use.
When
The increase is being phased in.
- $2.33* starting July 1, 2009
- $2.66* in April 2010
*-for average customer usage of 600 kwh
Business customers
Some business customers also will see increases that vary by customer class.
