PNM Good Neighbor Fund:
Eligibility Guidelines
Through the Good Neighbor Fund, PNM customers who are income-eligible or experiencing extreme financial hardship can get help once a year to pay part or all of a past-due electric bill.
You may be eligible to receive help from the Good Neighbor Fund whether or not you received help from LIHEAP.

- Qualified applicants can receive help from a Good Neighbor Fund grant once per calendar year. Funds can only be applied to one account.
- Grant funds cannot be applied to a closed account.
- Grant funds cannot be given to a landlord on behalf of a tenant/Good Neighbor Fund applicant.
Special conditions
You may be eligible
for help from the PNM Good Neighbor Fund, even if you exceed income limits.
You may merit special consideration, if you have:
- substantial medical expenses and are having difficulty paying your bills because of them;
- lost your job and are now potentially facing the loss of your home or eviction; or
- you have experienced some other severe financial hardship.
Have paperwork showing financial hardship with you when you apply for help, such as medical bills, mortgage statements, etc.
