Specific Customer Programs' Impact
Automatic Bank Draft participants
If you paid your PNM bill via
our Automatic Bank Draft program:
- No action by you is required.
- Your participation will continue with
New Mexico Gas Co.
- Both New Mexico Gas Company and PNM
bills will be paid, separately,
via Automatic Bank Draft.
- You can cancel your participation with
either company at any time by telephone
or U.S. mail.
Budget Billing participants
If you enrolled in Budget
Billing, which makes your bill a level
amount each month:
- No action by you is required.
- Your participation will continue automatically
with New Mexico Gas Company.
- Your Budget Billing gas amount will
become your New Mexico Gas Company monthly
gas charge.
- Your Budget Billing electricity amount
will remain as your entire PNM electricity
monthly charge.
PNM E-Bill
If you participate in PNM E-Bill:
- No action by you is required.
- You will receive a traditional paper
bill from New Mexico Gas.
- You will remain a PNM E-Bill participant
for your electricity bills.
Customers with current payment arrangements
If you made a payment arrangement
with PNM for your gas bill or a combined
gas / electric bill:
- No action by you is required.
- Gas
and electricity:
- Your
payment plan will be split based
on how much you owe individually
for gas and electricity use.
- You will continue to be responsible
for making arranged payments to both
New Mexico Gas Company and PNM.
- Natural gas-only:
You will continue to be responsible
for making arranged payments to New
Mexico Gas Company.
Deposits with PNM
If you paid a deposit to PNM for gas and
/ or electric service:
- No action is required by you.
- The amount was already specifically
designated for gas and / or electricity.
- Any gas amounts have been transferred
to New Mexico Gas Company.
- Any electricity amounts remain
with PNM.
Landlord standby services
If you are a landlord with gas-only or
combined gas-electricity service from PNM:
- No action by you is required.
- Your gas landlord agreement now applies to your New Mexico Gas Company account.
- Your electricity landlord agreement
(if applicable) continues to apply
to your PNM account.
- No action is required on your part.
PNM Good Neighbor Fund contributors
If you are an ongoing or regular contributor
to the PNM Good Neighbor Fund:
- Previous contributions not yet used
will help both electricity and gas customers
throughout the 2008-09 heating season.
- Contributions received after October
31, 2008, will help PNM customers.
- New Mexico Gas Company has a separate
program - HEAT New Mexico - for assisting
gas customers pay their bills.
Third-party notifications
If you have an agreement in place allowing
PNM to contact a loved one or other third
party if you are about to be cut off due
to non-payment:
- No action by you is required.
- Your notification request has been transferred
to New Mexico Gas for gas services.
- Your notification continues with
PNM for electric services.
Medical certificate participants
If you had a current medical certificate
on file with PNM:
- No action by you is required.
- Your information transferred to New
Mexico Gas.
- If you received both gas and electricity
services from PNM, you continue
to be protected by both New Mexico Gas
Company and PNM.
When it is time to re-certify, you will
have to do so separately
with each company to continue your protection for both gas
and electricity.
