This is the 2009 edition of PNM’s Electric Service Guide (ESG). Please discard previous versions of the ESG to ensure you have only the most current information, requirements, and specifications for your project. This book is intended for your use in planning and securing your electric service for whatever type of project with which you are involved. Use of this book can help you avoid unnecessary delays or expense.

PNM has a team of new service representatives to work with you and smooth the procedure of building your service. Please call us at an early stage in your project to help ensure your needs can be met in a timely fashion. This book is not intended to be a substitute for direct communication with PNM concerning your service. Let us help you from the outset with the latest information and requirements.

The information and requirements in this Electric Service Guide contain updates from the previous 2008 ESG. Some of the changes are detailed below:

Drawings

At the front of the Construction Drawing section of the ESG is a notice emphasizing that changes may occur at any time to any of the drawings, and a PNM new service representative should be contacted for the latest version of any drawing contained in the ESG.

  • We use a revision block at the top of our Standards drawings. The most recent drawing revisions will appear in the block and the revised date in the bottom right corner.

If additional copies of the ESG are needed, you may pick them up at your local PNM New Service office or PNM.com. You may also call us at one of the numbers listed on page 9 of this book to request additional copies by mail.

Reminder: At the front of the ESG, immediately following this letter, is a feedback form for your comments on the ESG. We are looking for any suggestions, changes, or improvements you may have to make the ESG more effective in helping you, to successfully receive electric service to your project.

We value you as a customer and hope that each new edition of the ESG is easier and more helpful to use. We also look forward to your input to the ESG via the feedback form at the front of the book. Please let us know how we are doing.
