Reeves Generating Station
Reeves Generating Station is a three-unit, 154-megawatt natural
gas-fired plant. Located in far north Albuquerque, the plant
went online in 1958. It is used as an auxiliary plant for
transmission support and peak electricity-demand periods.
At capacity, this plant produces enough electricity to serve
about 123,000 homes. It is owned and operated by PNM and meets
all applicable federal, state and local environmental laws
and regulations. A new continuous emissions monitoring system
has been scheduled for installation in Unit 3.
