PNM Says Natural Gas Prices Will Be Higher in March

Albuquerque: PNM customers will pay about 88 cents per therm in March for natural gas.  That is an 11.4 percent increase over the price in February and a 1.6 percent increase over the price a year ago.

Natural gas prices have been lower this heating season than the previous one. However, colder than expected weather in the Northeast and record high crude oil prices pushed the price of gas up recently.

Warmer March weather often means customers will use less gas to heat their homes.
