Renewable Energy Plan
In 2011, PNM and other electric utilities in New Mexico must increase the amount of electricity generated from renewable resources to 10 percent.
- The required amount will increase to 20 percent in 2020.
- The current requirement is 6 percent.
Power mix of solar and biogas proposed
PNM's long term plan to meet state-mandated requirements proposes a power mix of solar energy technologies and biogas.
A modified version of our revised renewable energy plan was approved by N.M. Public Regulation Commission in Aug. 2010.
