PNM is going electric and adding PHEV to its fleet. Currently, PNM has seven PHEVs, and coming soon ten new battery-operated boom bucket trucks and six PHEV pickup trucks.

By going electric, our carbon footprint is reduced by 115 metric tons of CO2 emissions annually. PNM will save $500 per PHEV annually due to less engine run time and reduced wear on brakes.

PNM will announce that Tesla Motors is installing a free, six-bay electric car charging station next year at Applebee's, 2600 Menual Blvd., NE in Albuquerque.  And, through a partnership with Nissan, installing additional charging stations for customer use in the area.

With headquarters in Albuquerque, PNM is the largest electricity provider in New Mexico, serving more than 500,000 customers in dozens of communities across the state. PNM is a subsidiary of PNM Resources, an energy holding company also headquartered in Albuquerque. For more information, visit PNM.com.
