If you have been impacted in any way by the coronavirus pandemic and are having difficulty paying your electric bill, please contact us so we can make arrangements. We can also discuss payment assistance programs, such as the PNM Good Neighbor Fund, that may be able to help. Please be vigilant against scammers claiming to be with PNM and insisting on you paying with a prepaid gift card. PNM will never ask you to pay with a pre-paid gift card.
We understand that our customers sometimes need help paying their bill. Here are some resources available to help customers in need with their bills.
LIHEAP assists eligible New Mexico residents and families with their heating and cooling costs. LIHEAP is federally funded through the Department of Health and Human Services. The federal government establishes funding levels annually.
PNM customers who are facing a financial emergency can receive a grant to help pay part or all of a past-due PNM bill.
If you qualify for income-based help, you also may qualify for the New Mexico heating season moratorium.
Income-qualified customers may also be eligible to receive free installation of energy saving products.
Request More Time to Pay
A payment extension gives you more time to pay an amount that is already past due and helps you avoid having your services shut off due to non-payment. Learn more
