EPA Recognizes PNM With 2012 ENERGY STAR^®Sustained Excellence Award

Albuquerque: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded PNM a 2012 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award in recognition of its continued leadership in protecting our environment through energy efficiency.

PNM, an ENERGY STAR partner since 2007, was honored for its long-term commitment to energy efficiency, specifically for its ENERGY STAR Home Builders Program. PNM offers builders a rebate for building homes that are certified to ENERGY STAR standards. ENERGY STAR homes use less energy, saving money and the environment.

PNM offers a variety of energy efficiency programs to help residential and business customers reduce individual energy use. Energy efficiency programs are designed to slow the growth in energy use and delay adding costly generation, benefiting all customers.
